Ironically, the juggernaut that was Joseph-Beth spelled the end of another beloved Hyde Park bookstore, Drew’s.

Did you ever go to "The Tome?" Sad to have missed it.

Mary Osterbrock's avatar

No. Missed it. I still need to get to the Bookery. My doctor says it is her haven.

Oh, will miss the Merch. Don’t drive after dark.

My wife and I had our wedding reception at the library in Columbia Tusculum! Great little venue

Put Books by the Banks on your calendar for November 16 @ the Main Library Downtown. The bookseller for that particular book festival is Joe-Beth.

It looks like you are enjoying Cinci/North Kentucky. I enjoyed my many business trips there . Thanks for the memory trips on Joseph Beth Booksellers. I recall visiting the one @ Legacy for author presentations/ book signings.

Love this piece! I’m embarrassed to say I didn’t know the history of Joseph-Beth bookstores and that there were only a couple of them still around.

So glad your daughter is doing well.

Are you familiar with the Cincinnati Literary Club yet? Check with Mr Google and let me know if you’d be interested in coming to a meeting!

I am familiar , if that is the one that has a set number of members. I figured it would be harder than the Turpin Hills Pool! I am interested in learning more!
