I'm far more likely to try St Francis now that they're in Oakley, but I just checked and for some strange reason, they only do take out from the Mt Lookout store. Otherwise I might have picked one up tonight :-)

I usually go to Dewey's in Oakley, even though there's a Goodfella's a walk up the street from me. Both are good, but Dewey's has great salads, too. (Dewey's is local; Goodfellas is out of Lexington.)

Not a LaRosa's fan, despite its legendary history here. My son worked at the local parlor as a driver for several years, so I've had my fair share of its pizza.

The best pizza I've had in the U.S. so far is DeSano's. We had it for the first time on a trip to Nashville last year. Killer good. https://desanopizza.com/

I left off Dewey's! I have had it dating back to its early days, both in Cleveland and Saint Louis. Big fan. I knew I was missing something. The odd thing about their Anderson location is that, while its food and layout are good... There's no branding and few TVs. I guess that's the vibe they're trying to curate. Don't stick around. Which is fine! But I do think some local flair would be good. Raisin' Cane's has more local flair! Sad!

Jersey girl here, so I consider myself an authority on pizza. Yes to St. Francis, but I'd add Trophy in Evendale and a location at Factory 52 (they sell slices!), as well as Il Gusto in Deer Park (side note: the Deer Park library branch in that plaza is awesome).

I'm a sucker for a good library branch. Is that the one in the old TJ Maxx?

Try Italianette Pizza on Plainfield Rd. My husband loves the meat supreme with large pieces of bacon.

I haven’t tried a few of the places you mentioned…. I’m a creature of habit- LaRosa’s or Dewey’s.

We are quite fond of several places in Northern Kentucky: Comporosso in Fort Mitchell, Wayfarer Tavern in Dayton, and Padrino's in Ft. Thomas.

We went to the new sit-down Saint Francis Apizza in Oakley on Friday night. We had been wanting to try it, but don't live close enough to have been tempted to carry out from the East Hyde Park location. The East Coast style pizza crust was amazing. We were somewhat disturbed that you have to pay extra to get anchovies on your Caesar salad, as we consider anchovies a fundamental requirement of a Caesar, though it is tragically not uncommon for restaurants here to offer Caesars and tell you they do not even have anchovies in the house, which is nothing short of sacrilage! Very limited wine list; we all agreed the Chianti was better than the Montepulciano. I'm sure we will go back, but it did not usurp A Tavola from the top of our list, though our trips out to Madeira are few and far between, when they had their original location in OTR we were there once or twice every week.

Pro tip: The LaRosa’s at Kings Island is the best. The reason is that the pepperoni is on top of the cheese there. Next time you get LaRosa’s ask for your toppings on top of the cheese.

Would they find it funny if I asked for it semi-inverted or no?
