In what feels like a bigger accomplishment than it actually is, I set up/cancelled all of the utilities for both Virginia and Ohio in short order this morning. I did everything by telephone and it was fantastic. (OK, AltaFiber did mess up and have to call me back, which was annoying.)
The key to these things? Calling somebody. I started with the Verizon chat bot and it took over 10 minutes to connect me to the correct department. And then it disconnected!
People hate calling, for the most part. But if you want to get something solved quickly, telephone is usually better than using the chat. Still have to figure out the dog licenses, though.
